Blurry nail photos....?

Hello,

I need help,

My camera is 4mp, with 3xzoom (hope someone understands that cos i dont :irked:?)

And i cant get good photos of my nails or nail art. I noticed lots of you post photos and was hoping for some advice? should i buy new camera? am i doing something wrong?

You should have a 'macro' button somewhere on your camera, the icon looks like a tulip flower, once macro is enabled, you'll be able to get some close up shots that are in focus

Sorry to drag up an old post but ive been searching to find some tips on this too. I use the macro function but in the evenings especially when i tend to do nails (after my day job has finished and kids are in bed phew) i struggle to get the camera to focus, presumably because of bad lighting, even when i do it under my daylight lamp. Think i need to do a short photography course!! Some of you have such lovely close up shots, even in daylight i cant get my camera to focus so close up and it is a pretty good entry level D SLR.

Any advice welcome??
