Boost 10.5% or buy 18%???

Im looking into getting some LA tan in. Thing is im unsure whether to buy one 10.5% and one 18% or 2x10.5% and use my tandare booster drops to boost it up for darker people?? i was sprayed with 18% the other day and im pale and it has came out probably around a 10%ish colour so didnt really find it very dark. has any1 else found this?
do you think that if only given a light spray it would give a lighter result as last night i sprayed my sister who is one of the palest people ive seen, with tandare 10% but sprayed her slightly drier .She usually has 8% and she didnt notice any difference in colour between the 8 and 10?

hi there, i have been using la tan for a couple of yrs now, i love it. Wish i found them sooner. i am suprised you didnt think the 18% was dark enough. i have read up the la disco 18% and it is not desgined for fair skin,as you will have no base tan. However if you want to go darker you would add another coat to suit.. The 8% and 10% are desgined for fair skin i believe. With the disco I think the strength(dha) puts ppl off its not that scary is it? Its just a great alternative to offer your clients. i would buy the 18% as the booster drops alone are abt 15pnd. if i am correct you have to put 2drops in 1ltr to make it 1% higher in dha, again when i asked this question the la tan disco is its own colour if u put the drops in the 10% to make it upto a 18% it will be 18% dha but not necessary the same colour. The Ltrs and gallons are still on buy1 gwt 1 free how greats that, what a saving..

i know i think ill go for the gallon offer or maybe get 4 litres for £100. dont want to spend loads but the offer wont last forever so got to make the most of it. i found the 18% to not be dark on me but perhaps it was because of the light spray . so would you suggest going over the person again if it did not look dark enough? and if i have no base tan, does that mean that 18% will not go dark on me? its all so confusing lol. I alredy have booster drops from tantrick which i have not tried yet. Im so confused whether to buty 10.5%x2 or 10.5% and 18 and also buy one litre get one free or buy on gallon get one free decisions decisions. what colours do you stock? xx

I'm also surprised the 18% didn't come out dark on you as it's very dark!
I've sprayed one of my girls with the 18% and she's quite pale and she was mega dark. I kept laughing at her cos her teeth looked gleaming!
I got the LA Gold and Disco in my offer.
When i spoke to LA Tanning they told me that the offer was on long into the foreseeable future which is one of the reasons i went with them.
Which do you think you will use more of? If you think you will use more of the Gold then get 2 of those and maybe get a 250ml bottle of the disco and see how well it goes as you can always buy more after.
I haven't tried the 8% yet so can't comment on that one.
The 10% is double dipped so the guide colour is very dark so i didn't stock that one as it's a bit disappointing when most of it comes off in the shower.
I will probably get some 12% as well soon.
Spraying twice will not make any difference to the colour of your developed tan, it will only make the guide colour darker-same principle as double dipping really.
Maybe when you place your order you could ask them for a sample of the 12% and see if that is better for you.

i found it quite strange that it didnt come out that dark which has put me off a bit. i think i will definetly get the 10.5% but im stuck between 18 and 8. Should i boost up 10.5 for darker and just get 10.5 and 8 or go for 10.5 and a darker one but then that leaves out the lighter shades for paler people. How dark is the 10.5 with LA Tan?
I think ill give them a call and maybe they can shed some light on why 18% was not that dark on me at all. i would have thought if anything i would have went orange at least if it was too dark for me. It was a done as a tester to see what it was like but no its just a nice brown colour that is right for me but if i had a client that wanted really dark it not dark enough the way it showed up on me x

Hi Alison.

Have you ever gone darker with another solution? Maybe the result you got was the darkest your skin will go with any solution. I am confused as well about the double spraying. I'm sure Collin had said on another thread that spraying wetter or double spraying would make it a teeny bit darker but not much.

How are your legs cos they definately looked darker than your upper body as soon as I finished spraying you. There was plenty solution on the legs so the result of these would be the same as double spraying.

I think I will sell this solution as a "brown" toned tan and the LA Gold as a "golden tan". I will continue to use tantrick as well for clients who want a natural looking result.

If I were you I would buy both the 10.5 and also the 18%. Then you can have more of a play with them and buy more if you need it.

I found the 10.5% more of a golden colour than brown. It all depends what solution you use too. I also use Nouvatan and the 10% in that is a lot darker on me than the 10.5% LA Tan.
I'm too much of a chicken to try the 18% on myself-lol.
As for spraying twice making it darker, think of all the times you overlap on a stripe-if that was the case that it makes it darker then you would have stripey clients!

yeah i have been darker before. i think i will get the 10.5 and 18 and see what i think. How did you get on with the client you had the next day after me, did they take the LA Tan or tantrick? It could just be because of my colouring it just didnt go too dark on me.my legs were slightly darker i think but not massively. How do you find the 10.5 is it dark? the initial colour was probably not much different to the final outcome so i think ill get some then try it on people and see what colour comes out on who xx

The client due the next day cancelled by txt 20 mins before her appointment!

I sprayed myself with the 10.5 gold yesterday morning, just my face and arms. I washed it off after about 5 hours cos I thought it looked dark enough for me at that point. Have to say it's a lovely colour also a natural colour. I would use it again on me. I think this shade will suit most people and will be a good all rounder. I will try the 18 on someone else soon but am off on holiday sat and have a busy week, prob do it when I get back.

Don't forget to let me know how the 18 fades on you? Keep me posted on your trials, I will do the same. We will get there eventually! (lol)

of course. it does seem to have gone a bit lighter but very evenly so could just be me getting used it thats making it look lighter. But all good so far xx
