Wondered what type of bowl everyone uses to do a spa manicure. I've been using a plastic bowl but i've found it's always been akward for the client.

For those that offer spa mnaicures what type of bowl do you use?

Thanks,x

Hi
I managed to get some lovely glass bowls from Asda that are quite deep and fit inside a wooden manicure bowl I bought from Pinks. There is enough room to float flower petals around the outside of the glass bowl. Looks lovely.

Wooden manicure bowls, i've never seen these. So you have a glass bowl inside the wooden bowl?

Are the glass bowls cookware?

I use beautiful red glass bowls and they are quite heavy so the client can't knock them over, to soak fingers in oil i just put the oil in a smaller glass bowl on top of some glass stones in the red bowl and then tip the oil into the water for a hand soak after 5 mins.

The wooden bowls I bought from Pinks at London Prof Beauty in January. They should have a website cos they supply lots of georgeous wooden stuff for spas. You could get similar from Salons Direct. If you give them a ring they'll be able to tell you. Not sure which section the glass bowls were in, in Asda. Just trawled the shelves til I got one that fitted the bill.HTH.x
