Hi,

I am a confident at brazilian waxing however I would like to improve my technique in the following areas:-

1. Hair around the anus - I was advised not to wax too close. How can you achieve a clean wax over the very wrinkled skin especially when the hair is growing towards the anus.

2. The area of skin between the anus and perineum, how do you best apply wax to this area to get hair that is right in the middle. I normally ask the clients to hold their leg up but not always can get a clean wax from this area if the hair is growing down towards direction of anus. As I am waxing against the hair, how can I get a grip of the wax?

3. When doing the landing strip, is there a error control method to avoid the hot wax of sticking to long stray hairs and causing a crooked line. Some clients don't want to be trimmed.

Looking forward to your expert advice!

I always wax the butt with the client on all fours. I apply the 'hot' wax in a long strip from top to bottom on each side covering all the hairs. If there are any left when I've removed the strips, I apply another short strip right over the centre. Be bold.

Landing strip: Trim the hair short with scissors first and then you'll get a nice straight line. xxx

Thanks Kim.

Final odd question. If you get a client who has a fully grown bush. After you trim the hair (I use scissors), it is everywhere.

Do you (a) carry on working with stray hairs around, or (b) get them off the bed and change the couch paper? or (c) ...............????

I just get them to lift up slightly while i place a clean piece of couch roll underneath their bottom, or get them to stand up on some couch roll while you trim, although I don't like this way! x
