Brighten up blonde?

I use Matrix ULPA and just a dab of ULPN mixed with double 40 vol. I have been doing my hair this way for about 3 yrs. Recently put a few lowlights of Redken 7GG. Love it. But the ends of my blonde look like they need brightened up. They are starting to look dull.. Should I just use some purple shampoo or is there A better way?
