Do you think it would be ok for a new technician to learn how to apply gel overlays and extensions?

Also, how do you remove the gel and tips? With acetone?

When you say a new tech, how new do you mean?
And what system have you become a tech in?
Anyone can do a gel course whether a tech already or not, depending on what training company you go to, you may need to do a wait a while to do a conversion course in gel.
Again, it will depend on what gel you use as to how to take it off, some soak off and others need buffing. HTH
