Brittle nails falling off!!!!???

Hi I have a new client who has asked for a Pedi she would like paraffin wax and all her hard skin removed, she says there is loads.
But she also said her right foot is much worse than the left and her nails are really brittle on that foot too, and she has lost two nails.
She said she has seen her gp and he was clueless, has anybody heard of this happening before and why??
And what she could do to improve it.

This is more common than you would think. Sometimes due to tight fitting shoes or fungal infections. Runners often lose toenails due to pressure from trainers and running shoes. Nothing to worry about as long as the other toenails have no sign of infection of any sort.
