Hi

This is my first post on here and have searched for advice but can't find anything

Just done my first set of white tips on a neighbour (for money) and she has text me today to say she has knocked one getting out of the car and a small bit of the white tip has snapped off at one side

any advice on if this can be repaired or do I need to soak off and redo

she is coming round in 15 mins as she is at the races tomorrow

Help !

Thanks

na, don't soak off, put a form under the nail and build the missing corner.

and keep in mind this is not YOUR fault but hers...

you can just repair hun-,
If you have a sculpting form, thin down the broken corner...apply form and fit underneath snuggly,
Sculpt on your new corner with white powder..taking care to blend it to the rest of the white tip.
When cured, remove form and refine shape...
Hth
I know your in a rush so its a rushed reply lol

Thanks !

Never used a form before but will give it a go

It's only a tiny bit thats brokwn off is it possible that I applied te bead too thin on the end ?

It is possible hun, I know I have done it myself,
I think with white tips, its easy at first to make the overlay too thin towards the free edge,
BUT on the other hand you did say she caught it...and cars are the worse culprit for breaking nails lol...

I think femmefan has pictures in her album of a smiliar thing...I will find it for you now

which forms are you using ? you should be ok with them hun, as the rest of the tip will guide the form into place, xxx let us know how you get on xxxx

Hi

Thanks for your help sorry about my spelling I was in a rush!

I managed to repair the tip using a form that came with my ezflow kit it went quite well and didn't take too long . Can't really tell the difference I'm really pleased and she was impressed that I knew what I was doing (or at least thats what she thinks!)

This site is fantasic!

Thanks again
