Hi i recently started to rent a room in a tanning shop has anyone had to build up clientell from scratch and whats the best approach?! Also can you be waxed after you have been on a sunbed as I am hearing different things? I know you cant use sunbeds afterwards..

You are not supposed to have hot baths before waxing so you definately wont be able to have a sun bed prior to ANY waxing. You could end up pulling someones skin off

I would not recommend tanning (UV or spraytanning) before or after waxing. Best leave it 24 hours in between, however just bear in mind that if you spray tan before waxing you are going to remove the tan with the wax so its best doing it the other way around. hth

hi. i own a tanning salon and have a waxing salon upstairs. 90% of my wax customers are independent from the tanning salon and found me via internet searches. i do have 1 or 2 that want a sunbed before there wax but i tell them they could have a bad reaction if they do. some people just wont take your advise no matter what though. the 1 or 2 that did have a sunbed before hand actually didnt have a reaction but they were experienced waxers.

thats what i thought but the owner has had the shop for quite a while and all the beauticians after clients had been on the sunbeds..im not sure what to do..

In my opinion it would not be professional to go against recommended after- care and pre-care for waxing. There are reasons for these and if anything went wrong you could get the blame for it.

hope this helps xxx
