Hi fellow geeks ! I'm doin a gel nail home course they are looking good but think i am building the c-curve in the wrong place could you fabulous well trained gel geeks tell me where is it supposed to go ?? nearer the cuticle or in the middle ??

Thanks ..

Are you trying to build up the "arch" of the nail, it would be between the free edge and middle of the nail. If you wanted to pinch the c-curve, you would have to pinch it in place after you cured the first layer of builder gel. This is the area where the free edge of the nail and the enhancement meet.

I hope this helps

I thought the c curve was the shape of the free edge when looking down the barrel of the nail...the bit you are talking about is the apex isn't it.

Yep she means Apex (pretty sure lol) apex should be in zone 2. If your doing a proper home course with all the text books I am sure if you look thru all your books and notes you will find step by step instructions?

yes the apex !!

it has a pic but it is not very clear and on the dvd you can't see if anyone has a side view of a finished nail that would help !!

have a look through the gallery, especially for comp nails.

thank you geeks have had a look and now im off to make the perfect nail lol well maybe i will in a couple of months !!:)

If you put a little pressure downwards on the free edge of a nail, you will see that an area on the natural nail bed turns whitish in colour - that is your stress area
