Hi,

I've just done my Calgel training and love it but am slightly unsure what to charge.

The educator was a bit vague on pricing and just said 'reasearch what other techs are charging in your area and go on that'

The problem is that I can only find 2 techs in my area offering Calgel and their prices are wildly different.

So geeks who use Calgel what do you charge for sculpts, tip and overlay and nno ? Do you charge different for French and colour ?

I know it varies by area but any help would be much appreciated

Hi hun,

What are the two prices in your area? Did you get a sheet on your training telling you what Calgel recommend you charge? On average, I charge about £7 - £10 less than that sheet, if I charged the recommended price I'd be the highest in my area, I have enough trouble with people umming and ahhhing at my prices at the mo!! xx

Hi Cazbar, where did you do your training?

Hi, Calgel is great isnt it! I think the trainer would have meant check all the techs in your area not just other calgel techs. Ie nail bars, salons etc to see what the going rate is for nails. I have nail bars all around me it is hard to price calgel too high as the average client will just go for the nail bar as they are so cheap. I look at it that if you price it too cheap clients will think it is not worth a look and if it is too dear they will opt for the middle price. Thats why you need to find out about all the nail techs in your immediate area to price yourself just right.
Where abouts in Kent are you?

I did all that when I set my prices for l&p but didn't know whether I should price the calgel the same, lower or higher which is why I looked for calgel pricing.

I'm in Bromley - where are you ?

I charge the same wether I use Calgel, Brisa or CND L&P. Otherwise you get people going for the cheapest option.
