sorry i have all these questions in my head. i have been doing calgel for approx 8 months and have quite a few clients. it still takes me about an hour to prep and blend in tips. which tips are best/easiest to blend with calgel and why? does it make a difference having a full well to the strength of the nail. would like to change the tips to improve time.

also i am finding that the colour calgel is way more hardwearing than the french. i am totally confident with the clour, i wear it a lot but not so confident about the french. i do retail the calcrystal, but i always worry about them lasting. i find the french not as shiney as i want, how long to cure the superclear and does it go yellow when overcured?
appreciate any advice

I have to say that this is what I found with Calgel, so I trained with CND Brisa and use this for my french now. I love it! I still use my calgel for coloured overlay, as my clients do love to change their colour!! I dont use the super clear either! Just normal clear. If you do a search on calgel, I am sure there is a little tip about adding a dot of purple to the clear to stop any yellowing. Have a little look xx

so anyone....which tips are the best

I use pro impressions well less, if you use them with Calgel make sure you build a really good apex otherwise they wont last, which is why I changed to Le Chat !

Oh and adding purple to the clear does helpa weeny bit to countract the yellowing

Hi, I have used the tips I purchased from calgel and have also used velocity tips (creative), I was advised to use the calgel resin with whatever tips I use but to be honest I havent found it makes any difference to the strength etc.

I also found calgel great for coloured overlays but not so for french, Im looking around for a gel that will give a good lasting french appeal .

You can add a bit of purple to counteract the yellow(you can ring calgel and they will send or tell you the info, it may be available on their trade website to thinking of it)

It is a case of trial and error really and finding what you like working with...but it does get expensive trying all these things out:)
