Can polish be mixed?

Hi All,
I really need some help,I was wondering if any one knows if nail poilsh can be mixed with gel or builder gel,as I have a lady coming tuesday morning and really don't have time to drive to the suppliers.

there was a good discussion on this thread - but when i searched for it there is loads of threads about mixing gel with enamel
