Hi. I have managed to grow my nails to a lovely length and just caught one. The tiny split is about where I've placed the red mark. Can I repair it before it splits off? I have hard gel or shellac. Any help very much appreciated.

Sure you can. File or remove whatever is on it now. Then use your hard gel and silk or Fiberglass to patch the entire area of the split. You can google the method but it's very simple and effective. Alternatively, in a pinch you can use a piece of gauze tea bag. Let me know if you need further directions.

Edited to add, after curing the repair you would apply a few strong layers of gel over top and finish as usual.

Thank you very much for replying. I'll Google the teabag method x
