Well one thing you can do is stick with just one form of hair removal chopping and changing has encouraged ingrowing hairs. When you were waxed were you given any aftercare advice to say that you need to exfoliate and moisturise regularly between waxing. When you shave do you keep in the right direction.Cremes i wouldn't consider at all especially if ypour skin is sensetive.
I would try and leave your legs for a while and not do anything, wear trousers:).Let the hairs grow and moisturise really well use a salt scrub before you get in the shower, you can make your own with course salt, almond oil and a few drops of tea tree and lavender rub this gently over damp legs then shower it off.
If you have redness and scarring you could use a zinc cream like sudocrem or bio oil.Moisturise everyday exfoliate everyother. You can also put neat tea on any infected ingrowns.
You can also buy special treatments for ingrowns that are like a mild acid that exfoliate , heal the skin and prevent more.

Hi thanks for you reply i had always shaved my legs untill this started then i tried waxing ( no i wasnt given aftercare advice )but the hairs grew in sore again so i gave the creams a try they did help for a while but at a loose end now. i have been putting sudocrem on them when they get real bad. i do exfoliate them as with the rest of my body- which product do you best recomend!

so you think its me thats caused this youd think of years of shaving my legs i'd know how to do it right eh- just goes to show

You could try PFB vanish or australian bodycares tea tree body lotion, there are quite a few products that therapists recommend on here do a search on ingrowing hairs.

thank you!
