I did a NNO using Akzentz options on 24th Dec and 2 days later the client had lifting at free edge. I assume it was a capping issue as she had tiny free edge (less than 1mm) and as I was capping the gel was going onto the skin below, which I was then having to wipe off, and I assume I was taking away some of the capping with it before the gel was cured. The gel also seemed very 'rubbery'. The client showed me the lifting and to my horror she said, 'look, I can pick it off', then peeled about half the gel off! Could this mean the gel was under cured? I've had the bulb 3 months but have only done about 10 full sets with it.
Assuming it's a capping problem (I did another set on v. short free edge yesterday, so I'll see if she has the same problem), how do I get around capping a virtually non-existent free edge without getting the gel on the skin?
Thanks geeks.

It does sound like a capping problem, what I do is pull back with my thumb on the client so you can then just cap the free edge, also flash curing one nail at a time so the gel does not shrink back. xx

I find that applying a form helps a lot, by extending the nails 1-2mm it completely seals in the free edge during application, you just need to make sure you don't file the capping off when you're doing your final shaping/buffing.

Aaahhhhhhh!!! I like! I think a cog has just turned in my head! Thank you!

I use a form on nails with little or no free edge too....you will notice a big difference.
