Changing the white tip colour at a rebalance question

If you have used white colour on the tip is it ok to use the soft white on the rebalance or do you have to stick to the same white?

You can use a different colour....just make sure you thin out the old one.

I would say that a soft white over a bright white may ghost through. I would ensure most of the original white is removed to avoid seeing a shadow.
