Hi all,

I am still quite green around the gills, but have been asked by a friend to do a wee stand at their local Charity fundraising ladies night.
I am unsure what is expected of me, but thought I could do mini manicures, file buff and polish sort of thing. What do you think?
I am insured through the guild, so would imagine I would be covered for this, as its me thats insured not the place I work from.
I have done some nail art to show off, and think that my cards will fly out the door but have to say, I am quite nervous.
Would/have you do this, and what would you charge.??
Do you think I should buy some nail varnishes to sell, (is this allowed)???
Any help/advice or suggestions are more than welcome....:)

I have done loads of these, you will be fine hun once you have done the first client,
i usually only offer a file and polish and allow 15 Min's for each person, i also take a small bottle of polish remover and wipes, so that if anyone turns up with polish on already i ask them to remove it themselves explaining that you only have 15 Min's per person so every one gets a chance to have their nails painted (no one usually minds)
i usually charge £5 as i am doing it so quick and this price reels them in, i also ask the event organiser if they can take bookings from people on the run up to the event so you get a list of people when you arrive to make it easier for you,
i take any retail items that i have and set them up on the table at the side of me where i am working, i ask for a table and 3 chairs, one for me one for the client and one for the friend of the client (women always go in pairs to these events)
i do take my nail art boards so people can see what is available at the salon but i do not offer it at the event as it takes up too much of the time allowed,
i also take business cards
10% off treatments in the salon cards
and price lists
hth
