Doing my first male chest wax tonight, any tips? :D

Make sure you trim the hair down first - i usually trim to a grade 2 (6mm).

Observe the hair growth direction - it changes around the wossname bone ... oh whats it called ... the collar bone!

Do a line down the middle first to create a clean line to work to / from.

Use an oil under the wax, very light covering of it is best. Make sure you stretch the skin as tight as possible ... get the client to help if needed.

Get them to raise their arms above their head (or hand behind head is good position) to stretch the skin as much as possible for part of it.

It is one of the most painful areas to do!

A good cooling afterwax is essential, some find a cold compress helps. Aftercare and home care products are very good to help avoid breakouts.

Thanks Mat, was hoping you would be about to reply! What oil would you recommend to put on underneath? :D

I would also retail your client a good aftercare product such as
"Clear it" sold by Zo Zo on here, or even a sterex aloe vera gel (applied twice daily for a few days to help minimise breakouts) as they will more than likely suffer from Perifollicular Oedema which are raised bumps at waxing site waxing. This is due to the trauma caused to the hair follicles by waxing.

Advise the client to avoid any hot baths, showers, saunas or sunbathing which will only make the skin hotter and more uncomfortable.

There are lots of threads about chest waxing, if you feel like having a little search

Most of us use Jasmine Oil. But just a small amount under strip wax!

Be prepared for the client to experience some pain - this can be very unnerving for the therapist - but many guys say the chest is the most painful body part to have waxed

Aw, soz I wasn't around before. How'dya get on? Did you put proper pressure on after the rip? Did you need to use a cold compress?
Jason.
