Hi all
I was doing a set of nails this weekend and noticed that the bristles of my brush are starting to come out
I take very good care of my brushes and havent had any problems with this one, even now I can still create a decent set with it, but its slightly concerning as Ive only had it a couple of months.
My brushes are always stored correctly, have never had any product stuck in them and are very well looked after.
Has anyone else had this problem????
Stacy

hi stacey strange i had that with my brush which is the cnd with the changing heads , at first quite a lot came out of mine, it did stop but not till after i had lost quite few i should of sent it back , be interesing if there is anybody else with the same problem

Mine isnt the one with the changing heads, its the one I got in my kit (Prostyler)
At least I know its not just me now.
Thanks:)

You can expect every new brush to shed a few hairs. CND brushes are the best on the market and all made by hand tieing. You won't find better anywhere.

Fraid the fault is not with the brush folks but with how you are using it and I know just what you are doing. Seen it so many times.

When you wipe your brush you are bending the bristles too much at the ferrule of the brush and the metal is 'cutting' the bristles.

I've seen folks wipe their brush back and forth and back and forth and bend the bristles. You should never do this. Wiping should be gentle, (first one side and then the other keeping it flat) and never bend the bristles at the ferrule.

Another time people bend and cut the bristles is when going into the dappen dish and bending the brush over at 90º. No no no.

OMG I used to put my brush all the way into my dappen dish pressing it on the bottom. I did watch the CND video's online a while ago and saw the lady rock the bristles gently to disperse air bubbles and I thought there must be a reason so I changed my technique and did the same. I have a new brush now and thank god i saw that video or i could have ruined my lovely ultra sculpter. P.S I lost a lot of bristles in my last brush as you can imagine. Lesson well and truly learned!! Thanks Geeg!!
