Hi, I have signed up for the Dublin course July 5th and am thinking I would add this to my services maybe end of summer depending of practice time and well if I can do the job well, but what else do I need to purchase:

How many polishes did you buy to go mobile?

Did you buy a mobile table?

Towels?

Anything else you can think of would be very helpful, just don't want my first client and have to go out and spend xxx amount of money the night before.

xx Flower

hey hun

i have a selection of polishes in my case, french , red, pink, peach, bronze etc but have full case of them in car incase they want particular colour, get a colour wheel and show them all the colours you have, that way you can juts pop and get the colour, normally i can judge what type of client they are and the sort of colours they might like, so usually the selection i have in case suits fine

as for mobile table , yes i have one, and i normally use it for my home based salon, only if im doing acrylics do i use it mobile, i always have it in the boot for new clients, but bh most clients uve been to, have gt a side table, or folding table they want to use, which makes it so much easier, but.. i would always have it with me just in case, nothing worse than having to work on your knee chick

towels, think of however many you think you will need, then buy double the amount rofl, espeically if your going to do mani/pedi too you will use loads hun, and dont forget flannels or mitts for removing scrub and exfoliator etc, makes it much easier

erm, mobile case/trolley or bag if your doing mani/pedi you will need bowls for hands and feet, so need box or bag to carry these in, i got free shoulder bag with some feet treats i bought last year, and keep my bowls in these, a step or stool to sit on to do pedis, i have a lovely silver plastic step £1 in instore, perfect height to sit on

erm if your doing acrylic or gel, you will need lamp, so make sure you ahve extension reel, you never know if the client will have a socket near where you set up

im sure ill think of more later

hths for now chick xxx

Karen, Marina and the girls at CND Ireland will be able to give you all the help and advice you need when you attend your course.
They have been there, done that, and most definitely have got the Tshirt, when it comes to starting up a new business lol!!!
Best of luck.

Hey thank you!!! The extension real never thought of that!!

I am just about to ring CND and see if they will send me a price list.

Thank you so much!!

Hi Flowerbyrne,
If I were you I wouldn't rush into buying loads of stuff cos I think that when you do the foundation course it comes with 2 kits and the cnd girls in dublin are all brilliant and while you are doing your course they will help you figure out what you really need and what you can do without
