Color advice needed

Hi,

Was looking for my previous thread, couldn`t find it, so opening a new one.

A question for the guru colorists, wella:

I have a customer:

Roots - 1 inch, base 5, 60% white hair
Midlenghts - 88/0 and some hilites
Ends lighter then 88/0, probably 9/0

We want to achieve 55/46 from wella.

My opinion (and please correct me if I am wrong) :
Bleach on the roots with 30vols, lift it until almoust 8, then wash
Apply all over 8/0 20 vols with red pigment then wash
Apply all over 55/46 with 20 vols

The hair is coarse, very thick.

Are you serious? Why on earth are you gonna bleach the roots?? 😂

Why bleach roots from a 5 to an 8 to colour back to a 5? And why colour length to an 8 and then go over with target shade (5)?? I'm lost.
