Are you guys members of FAH? Apparently if you get a trade account with Wella you save 30% on KP and 25% on all other colours, styling products & 20% on equipment and accessories. Maybe that might make a difference for you?

Ooohh I didn't know that!!

i didn't know that,a friend opened a salon last year and I helped them out couple days a wk,got 30% off literal then but they said they wouldn't do it for freelance stylists

Yeah, I just renewed my membership and got all the details. You also get a wella products voucher for your wholesalers (you buy £50 of retail products (to either sell or to use on your clients) and you get £50 more FREE. You actually get two vouchers so basically your membership pays for itself (if you use wella). Sadly I don't.

So is that freelance hair federation?

Can't we convert you to the light side of illumina?

Whatttt[emoji33][emoji33] get your hands in illumina this instance!

Illumina toners are fudhsjxmctjdnxcn :D :D :D

You know I had a bit of a wobble this week after the whole studio lightener [emoji16]. I have thought about converting to Wella before as they support freelancers so much more. LOVE the fact you can have a direct account and buy all equipment, gowns, bowls brushes Etc. But I'm just not a fan of KP. I like colour touch and am keen to find out more about illumina. I don't think I am going to stock INOA (despite using it and it was fine re coverage etc). Illumina does sound better dare I say it (never used it). I went on a Wella course last year and they went through it all but I wasn't convinced and stuck with L'Oreal.

Plus the whole numbering system is different to L'Oreal. I find it easier to stick with one brand (everything I use is L'Oreal) so would have to think back and forth between the colour lines. Don't know how you all cope with that! (Those that use multiple colour houses)

What exactly don't you like about kp?

To be honest i'd pick illumina up off the shelf over kp any day.

I know it is quite different to L'Oreal however I've got a few pdfs i'd be more than willing to send to you!

Thanks, I looked at doing the Illumina course, from memory it's over three tone for one day! Understand it's a premium colour service which would suit me well but expensive to train in. I haven't looked at the costs of using it etc but heard it's expensive.

Like I say though I prefer everything to be same house and I really don't like the retail/styling products (not tried the new line though yet)s do you use Wella shampoos, styling products as well?

I am currently re doing all my colour training from beginning as I want to do the L'oteal colour specialist course next year. Wella is much cheaper and that again is tempting to switch but I dunno. I'm not at all passionate about wella. I trained with it at collage and in the salon I was in at the time. But every salon I have worked in since has used L'Oreal. Guess it's just what you get used to!

If any of you Wella users want they Wella voucher (I have 2) PM me and I can post to you (I won't be buying any retail/styling products)

Chrisjames I use Goldwell as my main colour line, but tried Wella Illumina after Tsparker persuaded me its wonderful,I just use it for toning and from Hairdye wholesale they are much cheaper, the cost of pastel nearly made me fall over at my wholesalers but from there its doable.gradually getting to grips with the numbering system to:)

Yeah the new eimi range is lovely!

Just trial illumina for like a week and see what you think!

Do you need to do a big order with wella for the account, or do you instantly get one when you join the fha?

When you have joined the FHA you then need to ask for a form for Wella Account. That's how Wella will give you discounts as it has their codes on. I don't know exactly as its been a few years since I have had one of those forms but min order used to be one hundred quid and its delivered to your door. Maybe someone else can tell you what min order amount is as it may of been lowered by now (as that was a couple of years ago).

I joined the FHA last week and received my pack today, had various different leaflets about events and courses, members details, a car sticker etc but re the wells account this is the leaflet in attached picture. I also received a couple of the WELLA £50 free retail vouchers but small print says one per
Customer. Hope that all helps, any other info re pack let me know x

Edit: sorry, won't let me post pic, I'll try again from laptop later. It basically says this:
WELLA DIRECT ACCOUNTS buy direct from WELLA UK and save 30% on Kolsten Perfect, 25% on other colours, care & style products and 20% on equipment and accessories. Application packs available from the FHA, ring 01582431783 or email [email protected]

Doesn't state minimum orders but I'll find out Monday when I call
