Coloured gels over L&P?

Can anyone shed any light whether you can put gel colours over acrylic??:o
I feel really daft asking this and i have been trying to get in touch with my educator but its impossible!!

Yes you can ... make sure the surface you apply it to is not shiny though.

Yes, I use Brisa coloured gels over my clients L&P.

I take the shine down to a 180 grit.

Brush the nails with my plush brush to get rid of the dust.

Wipe over with CND Scrubfresh to rid the nail of any oils from my fingers during filing.

Then apply the coloured gel thinly & evenly & cure between coats (I do 2 coats) - be really sure to cap the edge all round the free edge with each layer.

Then I use my Brisa Top Coat & cap all edges & cure, wipe off sticky layer & voila!

does it matter if they are not the same brand?? i had a customer ask if she could have coloured gel on her acrylics but i dont know what brand she already has on??

The brand does not matter .. you can layer anything over anything and they will all stick to one another because they are all acrylic based.
