Competitions-best curviest tip?

Hi!
Comps getting close again and I was wondering what tips do peeps use for tip & overlay?
I always seem to lose points with not having enough curve , I use creative-velocity rips or maybe I'm doing something else wrong?
Any tips much appriciated.
