All of a sudden i've become confused with file grit. never really grasped it in the first place i just knew what to use on extensions and what on natural nail

Nail extensions 180??
What about natural nail just used in say a file & polish
and what to use on a nail extension when smoothing it out at the end?

Sorry 4 being a pain i just want to make sure i'm doing everything properly.

Thanks Kaye.xx

I use a 240 only on the natural nail

For enhancements I use a 180 working down to a 240.

For de-bulking L&P some use 100 grit.

This is based on CND training though other companies have different opinions - HTH

I use the 240 to remove shine from the nail 100 to reduce lenght and de-bulk, 180 to shape and refine.

So the lower the grit number the stronger it is?

Here is a good way to remember it hun; think of your grits as stones(the lower grit the bigger and harder to finer and more as you move up), the more stones the higher the grit and so on, that's the way grits work, so say you are debulking a nail for rebalance then you'd need less stones as they would do the work better, are you with me?

I hope that helps
