Contaminated L&P brush?

My brush is only 6 montha old but ive noticed the plastic cap has yellowed so I thought my brush maybe contaminated somehow?
I noticed today a client nails had a small amount of yellow around the cuticle area of the l&p but I dont think anyone else has had it :s

Any one know how I can check the brush and why it happens?

Dip the brush in some monomer and press the brush out on some kitchen roll. If the roll turns brown/yellowish then your brush is contaminated.

Usually this happens when your brush hasn't been cleaned thoroughly.
