Hi guys,

I am currently trained in buff off gel but Ive had lots of new enquiries and also enquiries from regular clients for soak off gels.

Ive done some reasearch and I think Im going to try the Akzentz Soak off gels. Ive been in contact with Karen from Nails plus beauty who are UK distributors but they dont run conversion classes for this product.

Im based in Essex, I wondered if anyone knows of any courses available here? I wanted to do a course for this particular product. However, there is a course locally to me advertising soak off gel (Sallys offering ASP) but not the one I want.

Im worried about taking the plunge ... Ive done so much training which has been a waste of time. Any advice would be greatfully received xxxx

If you are already having success with the traditional gel, SOG will be a cake walk! As for your clients that are already in traditionals and want to switch, just thin the overall product and do your normal prep for a fill and apply the SOG according to directions (that should be included in your kit), it should not be much different than traditional gels. The thin layer of traditional left behind can be left to grow out underneath the new SOG.

Why convert FROM one to another ... offer BOTH and then you cover all sorts of bases for your clients ...

personally as a client I hate the feel of soak off gels, how they yellow and the rubbery feel of them ... I would choose to wear a buff off gel any day... for others it is the reverse.

Offer BOTH.

Plus, you want to remember that SOG's are not meant to sculpted or overlayed over tips. They are really just for natural nails or overlaying traditional gels. If you overlay on acrylics with SOG it will weaken the underlying enhancement. It really is something to add to your current services--not to replace them.

options is like putting polish on. If your experienced with gel work anyway you will find it a breeze, you dont need to do a conversion class, just a bit of practice and your away.
