I need help cornrowing. Our salon barely does it but it's a skill I would love to have.

I know in my head how to do it (under french braiding) but when I physically do it, it looks weird..like there is too much hair on the sides and you can see where I grabbed. :irked:

Is there a website with a good video that anyone knows about? Or maybe I just need to keep doing it?

Thanks.

xoxo.

i use added hair and literally a sliver of a section of the clients hair x

Its over french braiding as opposed to under braiding iygwim...anyway how about you visit a afro american or caribbean salon as this is what they specialise in (particularly under weaves etc) they may be able to show you...hope this helps xx

Thank you all very much for all your advice I can't wait to try!!!

Youtube has great tutorials on cornrowing, and all kind of braiding. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

all you need to do is practice hun, i do it very fine if i can as it looks like a better result and looks very neat.. it took me ages to learn how to do it but now ive got the hang of it its like second nature :) xx

i agree its just practise. or if you know someone who can show you also..

i learnt when i was young but was terrible at it in the beginning.

Youtube is the best place to watch and learn. get yourself a dolly head and practice everyday. I did send a dvd to an geek on this site and did not get a thank you which I knew she received it but there you go, try and help some one and there don't appreciate it. This web site sells cornrows DVDs Braids, Weaves, & Wigs | The #1 Resource For Braids and Weaves hope this helps.
