Hi everybody

I'm new on here and have a couple of questions.

I have been looking for a nail course in the evenings or weekends, I work full time and need something flexible to supplement (sp) my income. I have always been interested in nails and would love to study nail art at some time.

Which course would be best, I have been looking around for a few months and I am just getting more confused. I would like to learn manicures, wraps (both silk and acrylic) as well as acrylic and gel extensions.
Also i am 40, would my age go against me.

Any help would be appreciated, thankyou.

I am in Cochester area, willing to travel.

Hiya!

Your age shouldn't go against you at all...

I was the same as you when i 1st started, wasn't sure on what way to go!

In the end i booked a 5day foundation course with CND (creative nail design) and its the best thing i have ever done. 5days doesn't sound much but them days are spread over 6weeks. I feel like i have learned 10000x more than some girls i know who done a nail course at a collage (one night a week, for about 16weeks)

Do a search on the site as there will be loads of threads about different courses...

Welcoem to SG hun, your age won't go against you - I posted something similar worrying about my age (36) and just starting out and got a wonderful positive response, its somewhere in the chit chat section.

Search the site for course info in your area and you will also find out a lot of things and learn a lot of things as you search I know I did.

lol, thanks. I'm gona read it now.
I wanted to do beauty and nails when i left school, my parents refused. Hence i have been thinking about it since my early 30's, and now decided to do something about it.

what is CND and L&P , is CND creative nails

CND - Creative Nail Design

L&P - Liquid and Powder (Acrylic)

How are you getting on, i have looked at home courses, however thought a course may be easier in the fact you can practise and ask questions etc
