Would it be better do you think, just starting out, in view of the credit crunch, to be mobile instead of salon based, if you had a full time job and wanted to fit in nails around shifts?

Hi,
My advice would be to keep overheads to a minimum. By going mobile you can build up your client base, then if eventually you want to be salon based, most of your clients will follow you if they can.
I have tried both, now sticking to small home based salon, keeping costs low. So if it is a bad week I have no rent to pay.
Best of luck whichever path you take.
Lotsa luv x

I agree, while you try to get up and running its probably best for you to be mobile or a home salon. I am mobile and have a full time job too and it works fine for me.hth
