Crushed shells and gel polish

Just wondering if anyone has tried this? I love the crushed Shell look with Acrylic and was gonna have a little go this evening with Gel Polish (Orly Gel FX)

My plan is to attempt it in the same way as Rockstars but obviously try and lie the shells as flat as possible.

However, if anyone has tried this and has used a better suited method please let me know Cited! Lol
