Where can i buy my dermalogica products from, apart from actual dermalogica, because i can't afford to set up a product line with them yet.

I want the professional products, but everywhere i look only sells the retail products.

Someone help me please...

If you want the professional products then you buy them direct from Dermalogica as you need to be trained in the products to use them correctly.

Its the same with any range be it hair, beauty or nails to get the most from you products you have to be trained how to use them effectively.

Some of the Dermalogica professional products are very active, especially the exfoliators and it could be a disaster if someone used them without knowing what they are doing.

It is a lot of money to set up with Dermalogica but they offer so much training which you can go on as many times as you like with no extra charge that it makes it worth every penny.

If you want to use a professional product with a good reputation then it will cost money, end of story. It's called "investment" & is the basis of any business. Support works both ways, and we the therapists have to realise it is imperitive that we support all the effort the companies make in research, marketting & so forth by not buying knocked off goods.

It's getting rather tiresome reading all these "I want premium products for tuppence in cost & minimal training effort" threads. Buy cheap, get cheap. If not, then support the companies whose products we love by paying what is in the grand scheme of things a very fair price.

Couldn't agree more with the above posters!

Why do people not realise you can't just buy a few bits and bobs from a professional skincare range from just anywhere!

Without dissing Dermalogica too much as I have used them personally over the years, why is it the first one anyone thinks about!

I can only suggest that you have a real good research, there are lots of threads on here regarding products, from Eve Taylor, Decleor, Germaine de cappacino, moor spa, and so and so on.......

What I did, is checked the threads on here, then went to company websites, rang them and got information, then gradually made my mind up.

You need to see what you want from the product, is it pampering, or result drive, do you need 2 different brands, do you want organic and again so and so on.

What has been said is true you do have to spend a bit more and not be cheap. I have invested more in a microdermabrasion machine and my facial peel range, I also use Eve Taylor for the pampering traditional facial, although I like the products. I have probably spent about £3000 but I only buy where I don't need to have min order etc and I do not have a loan, consequently I have to date not taken a salary of sorts yet.

I hope this helps and good luck, it will work out if you spend the time researching.

I agree totally and couldn't have said it better!

If you want to be a proffesional and be seen as a proffesional then you have to behave like one and that includes protecting our industry.

btw Martin, I tried to rep you but it says I have to spread the love!

Why don't you go along to a trade show then you can chat face to face, touch feel and test, they should have show offers on so you can get a good deal!
