I use to watch them both and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED them!!!

I sooooooooooooooo wish The Salon would come back on again!
That was on just as I started to train in Beauty and I would love for it to return as we would be able to relate to it so much and learn from it too..

I LOVE programs like these but they seem to come about once in a blue moon..
I have even tried searching for them on dvd but they are not out on dvd.. How sad am I!!!

Did anyone else like them as I did?!

If anyone knows of any programs/channels dvd's or anything like these  then please let me know!!

loved the salon but it was a bit sensationalist. the trust me one irritated me a bit!

on the salon they showcased spray tanning which was relatively new.

yeh i loved the salon!! never watched trust my i'm a beauty therapist but did get slightly obsessed with celebrity scissorhands last year!! especially when they were performing manicures and i was sadly recognising the products as OPI !!

Yeah I watched Trust me I'm a beauty therapist. I also liked watching Beauty School. They are all a good laugh, not that you learn much from them...

Ha ha, we recorded the entire series of "Trust Me I'm a Beauty Therapist" when it was on Channel 5 back in autumn 2006, they're currently sitting as MPEG files on my computer somewhere, waiting for me to edit them and burn them to DVD... I actually got a call from a TV researcher back in the summer of 2006 who wanted me to go down to Swansea and appear on the show and get some treatments done (he'd seen my transvestite modelling website) but I decided not to, being a bit too paranoid about being noticed on the telly back then, and it also meaning I'd need to take an unpaid day off work - but we still looked out for it and it was quite amusing - they did do a scene where they had to turn these two blokes into drag queens, which was quite amusing.

"Trust Me I'm A Beauty Therapist" was on Channel 5, back in October 2006 I seem to remember. I think they showed it every weeknight over 2 weeks; there were 10 episodes in all. I haven't seen the other programmes.

:o Doh! Sorry I read the thread wrong and thought I had missed something this week!

I loved watching Beauty School and also the Children in Need celebrity programme.

I cannot believe I missed that one either
You would have been great as you look fab in your modeling pics .
Do you think you may have a bit more confidence to be part of a television show now ? x

Well, the issue was more of whether anyone at work would see me than in terms of my confidence in myself lol - also I didn't know what "spin" the TV production crew would put on things...

Last year, Sonia and I were in Reveal magazine, and someone at work *did* see it - but the week after my contract in that particular job had ended - from what I heard via some friends on Googletalk there was quite a bit of amusement. But I missed the flak myself lol.

However, I'd probably be more than happy to go on TV now though - as long as I was happy that the programme would show me in a good light...

Yes I know what you mean , some media productions can edit it to show people in a bad light ,
I mean look at wife swap or Jeremy kyle there is lots of exploitation going on there
people can be exploited and shown in an unkind way which does upset me , so I think you are very sensible to be wary of the media  x

I loved trust me im a beauty therapist and too wish it would come back on:green:

Yeah, you have to be careful! I've had people phoning me up asking me to go on the Trisha show and whatever, and Sonia has said no way!

At least the Reveal article was good, although they did try and twist it to make it sound like we always wore the same outfits as each other and shared each other's clothes, when we don't! Anyway, here's a link if you are interested: http://livejournal.ruthmills.me.uk/reveal/reveal.jpg
