I hit on an idea of doing a movie/powerpoint presentation of pictures of my therapy room and treatments that I do, I was going to run it on a little dvd player but the dvd player won't accept it.

I was in a hardware shop and they had a digi photo frame, it was like 7" x 5" and wouldn't take up much space.

I thought it was a good alternative. The woman in the shop said she paid £90 for it and used her mobile memory card to do it. I think the price of these have come down a bit, so off to Tesco tomorrow to check them out.

Does anyone use these in their waiting area, or do you think its a good/bad idea?

I haven't got one in the salon Ann but I do have one at home, They're great and so easy to use, I got mine from Argos last Xmas for £30 and does the job, although you can't have music on mine. Hope this helps hun xx

Some of them play movie files too (usually only very slightly more expensive, maybe £5 or £10 more than the cheaper ones). This means that if you had a file, eg recorded on your camera, you could show this too. £90 is quite expensive, you can find them a lot cheaper than this.
Good luck in your search x

she did say she had bought it a while ago and the cost had dropped considerably.
I know Tesco had a real bargain at christmas time on these, so much so that they were totally sold out.

at the time I thought it was a rubbish idea, but now I can see the possibities.

off to A and T tomorrow.

I use one of these hun. Its really good. the customers have something to watch and get to see yor work too without using their hands iykwim :green:
Well worth the investment hunni go for it.
Jen xx

thanks, going to buy 2 today.

I have one in my room, I have put my portfolio on it so it give my clients something to look at and I also have pics of my nail art displayed on it so they see what kind of art I do. Usually my clients that only like french decide to have a little something extra as it makes all the difference seeing it on a person rather than on a display board.

I have one in my waiting area

I bought it originally to promote my spray tanning parties. I took a load of photos when I did a party for my sister and her friends at her house (with their permission, of course) and put them on there.

It showed them all in their bikini's with their bottles of wine, and being sprayed etc and they looked like they were all having fun

The great thing about them is you can delete/change the pics all the time, so I have it showing my nail art portfolio at the moment

A great promotional tool! xx

I've just been to price them up and the cheapest is £40.
am looking online for a cheaper one tbh.

I already have a powerpoint made up ready to go on, and I love the idea of changing them to go with promos, etc.

I wanted a silver one really, which is £50, but would like to pay less.
