Hi All,
Just wondering what procedure (if any) that you follow when taking large bookings? ie pamper parties?
2 bookings I had last week - one completely blew me off and the other was a huge disapointment only did 3 small treatments?
Thanks for your advice

Sorry to hear that.
Yes I require a 25% deposit based on the total value of the party which is non refundable.
That way if they cancel you wont be so much out of pocket.
People also generally try not to cancel if they are due to make a loss.

I always try to take a deposit of £5 per person for spray tan parties.

Unfortunately I can't take the deposits electronically so a lot of the time it means I spend time going to the party host's house, but this is also a good opportunity to hand over pre-tan advice and to explain what will happen.

What I make sure the client understands, though, is that the deposits are only non-refundable in the event that the whole event is cancelled within 24 hours.

For me, I see deposits are a gesture of good will and a sign of the clients'
commitment - I can't imagine ever having to actually keep the deposits without being able to somehow work things out with another date etc.

xx
