My eczema has flared up as usual, it always seems to flare up all the time. My skins always dry, and one of my hand seems wrinkled because of my eczema. The middle part between my eyes always seem to be red, and at the top of my lip. (Under my nose part) My arms always go red in the night as well. It's so embarrassing, I've been to my doctor and tried so many creams. However I end up having to use steriods for my skin, but I know I'm not meant to use them for more than a few weeks because it thins skin etc. I just feel like giving up on finding something that can keep my eczema under control, as it's been 5 years since I've started to frequently flaring up. I have a good diet etc. Please any advice would be great. Ty

I don't suffer with eczema but one of my children had it really bad! He suffered with it from being about 6 months old. I tried absolutely everything, think I must have had every cream and emolient from the doctors and nothing seemed to get rid of it! I did find that hydrocortisones did help when it really flared up and you have to remember that 1% and 2.5% are classed as very weak. I was told by a friend about a product from America called proecza so I ordered some and I have to say it was amazing! He is a totally different little boy now! It has cleared up completely on his body! His face is so much better as well. If he is ill it does tend to flare up a bit but apart from that I would say that its more a less gone. I still apply an emolient every night and if his eczema does flare up I put some proecza on and it goes. It does contain a cortisone but is only 1%. I also have a friend who is a homeopath and she prescribed slate and granite tablets which have also helped. If you want the web address or any info pm me and I'll help you with anything you want to know.
