Hi, does anyone here do electrolysis from home?! Just wondered if you got a licence from the council?! I used to have a salon and I had a licence there but Im now working from home - just a few hours a week so wondered whether to approach them or keep quiet?!!?

Yes you need to contact your local council to get assessed and registered. It is not worth the risk of someone notifying them and facing a penalty. My council checked qualifications, work room - you must have a sink to wash your hands in the room or very close by. They check how you sterilise equipment, work areas and floors and what needles you use plus a few other things. It is a requirement that you have a certificate on view that tells clients you have been registered.

ok great, will do then! thank you!
