I am not a trained nail technician but as a beauty therapist, I do manicures.
At the village fete I was asked to paint the St Geroge's cross of the England Flag on nails today and had no idea what to use. I ended up using the end of an orange stick - not the best result but better than nothing.
I have been asked to do nail painting again at the neighbouring village fete next Saturday and have a feeling I may have to paint the St George's cross again. May be a silly question, but what do I use to paint the red cross on with?

Hi
I did this the other day for my neice who wanted "world cup toes"
I used shellace and glitter for mine.
If you are going to use normal polish maybe a nail art or gel brush would be a little easier for you as you can get some that are a little shorter and firmer for precision work.

ok this might sound crazy lol but argos do i rio flags nail art kit for about £30 if i remember correctly... so id maybe look into that as then ud have other pen colours for in the future too!! hope this helps x

Try and get hold of a red striper polish, Ive done loads x

Hi I used a tinting brush as very fine, worked well free hand!

free hand red paint and a fine paint brush should do the trick. otherwise red striping tape.

I use acrylic paint from art stores, they are only about £1 each for a 250ml bottle.
I would use white paint, it dries really fast, then use red paint for the stripe & coat the lot in a top coat after a min.
You can get a striper brush from the art shop too, if it's not thin enough, just cut some bristles off to make it thin.

This is the cheapest way of getting your bits together if it's not something you are going to do too much.
I always use acrylic paint though for my nail art.

I would also opt for acrylic paint :) I use acrylic for 99% of my art on my nails that is painted ( in odd cases, I opt for the striper pens but only for certain stuff ) :)
