Hi,i really want to go to Excel this year but dont want to go on my own,im thinking of asking my niece to come along with me whos 16 and works a couple of evenings a week and a saturday in a hairdressers shampooing, answering telephone, she does attend college too once a week.Does anybody know if she would qualify to get in free with me,as on the entrance policy it says ..no nvq level one students or equivalent will be ammited??? but when it asks for the job desc. of the 2nd person it gives the option of student... dont understand .Not having much joy with the website.

i don't have nvq's and i am going. i phoned and asked as i am buying a salon and the woman on the phone said it was ok and just to say that i was buying a salon when i applied online. i applied online and it didn't ask about any qualificaions. i too want to take my daughter who is 15 next month and could easily pass for 18. i applied online for a ticket for her as well but it doesn't say anywhere about ages. i asked on here and no-one seemed to know. am a bit worried now as i've never been before and don't know what the policy is when you get there. do you just show your pass or what??!!

Hi

they don't check so don't worry, they have brought limiting students in because they all crowd around the stall's and then real salon owners, therapist's cant get in there to see what's what and spend their money!

It is so frustrating when you go to a show to see x y z and can't get a look in for a big gang of students.

It cost's an awful lot of money for a stand at one of the show's so they obviously need to get to their target audience, ie the ones with the money to spend.

I do remeber a few years ago sunday always used to be student day, so i used to go monday or tuesday. x

I want to take my daughter, and as she's a student (well, she's at school still and looks 21!) and will be looking to learn nails when she's old enough.
I assumed it would be OK, as a client of mine took a bus load of school kids downn there last yaer.
I have applied online for her ticket & received it, along with mine, but it says only valid MON & Tues!:irked: It's a pain as I'm going on Sunday, so will have to wander around alone, so I guess I'll spend less time there as I'm not much good by myself! I like to talk & chat about stuff & she's great at that.

Hi
Every year I have gone anybody goes, I think sometimes there is more public than trade that go, its a great day out I am taking my best mate with me this year. Anyone can get a ticket!

i have applied online and they said they will send my badge. it didn't stipulate a day though and i want to go sunday. what happens when you get your badge?

Hi it does not have any day on it just my name, place of work and what my job is, its a open ticket.

The only restriction as such that I know of is that students must be in their uniform
