I'm looking to set up doing spray tans in my small salon and will be needing an extractor fan to keep the air fresh and the room clean...

an aston & fincher rep that came to do a demo for me recommended i buy their fan for £400 (which i am assuming was a S600), but since doing a bit of research I found this exact fan for £345 on spray tan supermarket alongside a S500 for only £265...

just wondering if i really need the most expensive fan or if the cheaper one would do the job???

thanks xxx

There are many different extract modules available from as little as £175 upwards.

When selecting an extract fan there are many considerations to make.
The most important is the size of your room..this is relevant to the size of fan you will need.

Another consideration is what type of filter it has..there are basically two types..ones that you can wash out and put back in and ones that you will need to replace the filter when it is full...the latter does trap more particles as the filter is finer however the washable ones do save money in the long run.

Speak to the potential suppler..give them your room dimensions so they can recommend the right size fan for you

Hi,
I use the same one as you found on Spray Tan supermarket, I paid around £345 for mine too.
I works perfect for me.
Mine has the replaceable filters, I ordered a box of them after I got my extractor, so they were in my stock when needed.
Happy Tanning

Thanks u guys... the room is quite small really. think i will go with a unit with the replaceable filters... still not sure id i need the s500 or s600 though... as far as i can gather the difference is that one has two fans inside the unit...

i bought mine from here Spray Tanning Equipment i have a small room no windows, this has made a HUGE difference and it didnt cost me an arm and a leg

Check our the SolarEx range, they are used by professional salons as incorporate top quality fans and filters and have a lifetime guarentee - More expensive than some others on the market but probably cheaper in the longterm due to the excellence of the quality and obviously a lifetime guarentee means that should you have any problems over the years they will be sorted out free of charge. The absorbtion of overspray is second to none. I personally do not believe in the washable filters which from my experience are nowhere near as effective. Why try and save a few pennies buying something that isn't going to work?
