hi
i have yet trained, but hoping to go with flirties any time soon ..
just wondering to you call yourselves : eyelash extensionists , semi permanent eyelash technicians or something else?
just asking as my web site designer needs the content for my home page - id better pass now hadnt i, lol
also just wondering how those that specialise in eyelash extensions market yourselves?
im a makeup artist, specialising in bridal makeup to hope the brides will book me for the eyelash extensions as well
just wondering whether to offer service seperately or as an optional package with a small discount
can i also ask those that do bridals, do your brides stay with you as regular customers for infills etc .. or do they tend to have the lashes as a one off for their wedding?
finally, do the bridesmaids, mums etc .. also tend to go for them or just the bride
thats all my questions .. for now anyway, lol
many thanks

have just re read my post - think i must be all fingers and thumbs, the amt of errors, sorry!

Hi,
if you already do bridals I think you should be absolutely fine with eyelash extensions as that is just another thing brides want - nice nails, perfect skin, a tan, long lashes and perfect make up for the special day!
But I also think that you will get repeat business with the brides - yes of course there is always the one that takes the lashes off and doesnt maintain them - just like nails, but the majority of clients that understands the cycles and necessity of maintaining their "enhancements" will continue to come for regular balancing the same way as they get their infills done.

Depending on your client base you might get some clients that will only come for lashes but generally you will be able to get a lot of clients that you can convert - for example from nails to naisl and lashes etc. You can offer the initial lash extensions at a set price and then offer the rebalancing at x amount per week - so if they come back after two weeks it will obviously cost less as you might only have to replace a few, whilst if they wait longer there will be more "maintenance" due.

I would still offer some incentive to clients that come to you for other treatments - say "book your lash extensions and get your next nail infill at a reduced rate or even free". The nails is just an example but you can do that practically with any treatment you offer. Another thing to offer might be referrals where your clients get a bonus or discount if they bring a friend, that way you can easily extend your client base.

I would defenetely put the leaflets on the counter so any clients can see that you are now offering a new service and then word of mouth will spread and in no time you can see the positive effect :) hth

thanks for your feedback, it has been a real help
i love the idea of the incentives for introducing a friend and the special offers ..
i could offer half price make up lesson with a full set of lashes, would even be happy to do the lesson for free at first just to get some regular clients but wouldnt want to come across as desperate!
thanks again

You will be a Flirties extensionist when qualified,
you can use the celebs to help market your skills, there are loads of them that wear them,
i also tell all my clients to watch the mascara adverts closely as the models in these all wear them,
i will give you plenty of advise on the training day,
i run a small competition with my first time clients with the prize of a free infill, (i will share the details on the training day)
you will find that they are very popular where you live and not just with the brides so you should get plenty of repeat clients, hth
