Hi, was wondering, do Any of you offer eyelash perming? There are not many salons In our area that do. What should we charge for this also? Its not me doin it, i have a beauty therapist who works for me. We charge £8 for an eyelash tint, just so you get an idea of our price range!thanks x finding it hard to price cos there isn't a wide range of people do it In my area x

I offer eyelash perming and have done for years. I offer a free tint with the perm cos thats what everyone else does around here lol. I charge £20 but used to charge £25 in the salon, it's quite popular but extensions are taking over x

I got caught off guard the other day and now have a girl coming In tomorrow for it and told her £16, then got the fright of my life when i went to buy the lotions etc...think i will say to her next time she gets it done it will cost £22 because i misestimated the cost of the solutions. Thank you x

Yeah I think the Hive kit costs about £30 or something! But you can get quite a few perms out of it! x

Eh we paid£40 plus vat today! At least if we do two perms out it we will have made money back but i'm supposed to be having a thrifty month and i've already spent £75 :( x

I think the reason not many do perms is because people don't spend the time marketing it.

I bet if there were more 'before and after' posters dotted around the salons there would be more interest.

I did my own last night because it looked like I hardly had any lashes at all - and now I have lovely noticable lashes and really wish I had a before and after pic because although the difference is subtle its so effective.

Oh and my point is -
it should be a little more than £20 - it takes quite a long time and the effects last quite well. Maybe do some promos for November - it should turn more clients into devotees and they will want it for their summer hols next year.

I charge £25 for a perm - £30 for a perm and tint.

Hi

I also charge £20 and then £25 if they want a tint aswell.

Its a shame its not more popular.

Hope it works out for you

Lisa

I charge £25 and find it to be quite popular, mainly because my own lashes are permed, so when people ask what it is (cause alot don't know) i tell them mine are permed and they usually book! Great for people who wear glasses too when combined with a tint.

I don't offer a combination price though. My tint is £7.

How do you do your own? Do you get someone you know to do them? or do you do your own

I dont think i could do my own and there arent really any salons round here that still do them as far as i can see

If you do your own how on earth do you do that?

Thanks

Hi. So we did the girl today but she thought they would be curlier...tbh so did i as a non beautician...is there Any way of making them curlier or Any reason they weren't so curly? I got mine done and was disappointed until i put mascara on and they looked better x

Hi,
If you use a smaller roller there will be a tighter curl.
BTW
Still interested to know how easy it would be to do my own !!!!!

I would love to do my own....How do you do it ????

The only real way of perming your own lashes is by doing one eye at a time. There is no way you could ensure getting all the lashes on the rod correctly(ie no crossing over and none left off the rod) and then applying the lotions without getting it on the tips of the lash (causing over processing). It would just be an absolute nightmare...

We charge £25 and that includes a free tint. It's really popular but needs lots of promoting via the therapists because you will be surprised how many members of the public simply have no idea what it involves, what the results will look like and how fantastic it actually looks when done correctly.Incidently we use a product called Amirose.HTH:green:

I do my own because I have done permng for years now - but if you don't know what your doing I wouldn't reccomend it.

I remember years ago Argos were selling home kits - I couldn't believe it - it should never be avail for home use.

I actually put the large rods on and do both eyes the same time - and I washed up with them on (having a new little baby has made time now of the essence) . But I use large rods because I don't like a too tight curl - I like a simple lift and bend to the lash - it just gives volume.

I leave each stage for about 20mins and use an adhesive to stick the lashes to the rod. Use a cocktail stick to straighten each lash on the rod (any twists will end up as hook lashes with an ugly kink in them) .
