Hi there,

Wondered if anyone can help please. I have a friend who seems to be going through a bout of infections, it seems to be one after the other, a weak immune system it would appear. She would like a facial but she is on Antibiotics for spots that are 'itchy' on her face and back presently.

She doesn't seem to know what's caused it other than that she is stressed and worried about her forthcoming wedding and she has a very busy lifestyle.

The thing is: can I perform the facial? I want to give her a facial and perhaps a full body massage to relax her but am not sure due to her being on medication. My instinct is to say no but I just wanted a second opinion please.

Any help would be appreciated,

Kind regards,

Nora.

Anti-biotics are normally given for a bacterial infection so there will be cross contamination issues.I think i would be reluctant to perform a treatment until she has finished the course and been given the all clear by her gp. Did she tell you why the dr gave her anti-biotics?

Hiya,

Yes well the Doctors have only said that she doesn't have any 'good' bacteria in her body so this is why she is having one infection after another. She said she was on her 15th lot of Anti biotics this year!! Lord knows why they haven't tried to find the cause of this problem.

Poor thing is so run down but yes I think I'll probably pass on the facial until I've been given an actual proper diagnosis of her illness.

Thanks for taking the time to help, appreciated.

Nora

I wouldnt touch her huni as you wouldnt want to make her skin worse by applying products if it's already sore.Maybe wait until she is better and give her a nice facial and drain the lymph to get rid of any toxins and make her feel better

Hi there, I would recommend that your friend visits a qualified nutritional therapist. Unfortunately some GP's just plough on and perhaps she needs a fresh look at things. I remember when my son was a baby he constantly had ezcema and kept getting prescriptions from the GP. They refused to test him and in the end I took him to see a homeopathic doctor. And yes they diagnosed allergies and his skin cleared up almost instantly.

She needs a fresh approach as well as medical guidance. I hope she recovers soon.:)

Thanks very much for your replies, I'm seeing her tonight but will call her in a moment to explain that I can't perform the treatments!

I'll mention what you said Essentia, it does seem that way to me, just treating each infection instead of finding the root of the problem.

Thanks again

Nora:)
