Have just tried a sample - Is fake bake solution a bit thicker than others,Tantrick in particular? Absolutley love the colour but came out a bit uneven in places, different to tantrick and the other one I sampled (cant remember the name!!)

Thank you in advance

Gill

HI,
You're right about Fake Bake being a tiny bit 'thicker' than Tantrick. I use both and always have to adjust my machine when I switch lotions.
Neither come out patchy though

Did you remember to give it a good shake before pouring into your cup,
if not this may cause it to be patchy, hth

Yep. I use Nouvatan and Fake Bake and have to adjust my gun!

Ok no I didnt shake it first and had the gun set at the same as I do for tantrick! So should it be set at less or more (well I am a newbie!)
Also does anyone know what %age the dark fake bake is ? I know fake bake dont say but what %age tantrick would be similar?
I look like I have been in the Maldives for a month - tan fastic!
Also got a sample of the origianl - so same question what %age is that similare to?

When i asked Fake Bake, i was told that the original was 10% and the darker was 12%.
I have to turn my gun down after using Fake Bake and then using Nouvatan cos the Nouvatan is a lot runnier and comes out quicker.

does fake bake last long? Also once I wash of the guide colour will it still be as dark or does a lot come off? I want to stay this colour!!!!

I tend to find that it does fade a bit after showering. I personally don't like the colour as i think it makes you look dirty
LA Tan is a much nicer brown.
Nouvatan also do a 14% which is a nice colour.

Every spray tan solution I have tried is thicker than Tantrick, apart from xen tan.
You will need to adjust your gun for different solutions hun. I find Fake Bake harder to spray with though x

Now I've had a glass of wine so please forgive any unusual boastiness from me, but I get spectacular results with Fake Bake. No patchiness, no dirtiness, just gloriously lovely tans.

What I will say, however, especially with the FB Darker, is that the colour guide is quite dark, and the resulting tan slightly lighter. With Original though, I find the colour guide just a tiny weeny bit more intense than the true tan.

The only other solution I use (and that's only very occasionally) is Tantrick 5% and like the other peeps, can confirm Tantrick's a slightly thinner consistency than Fake Bake, but nothing that a tiny gun adjustment doesn't sort out xx

Why are you using it then? (your comment "I find Fake Bake harder to spray with though" on a thread directed at Fake Bake geeks suggests you use it).

Because I have to use it at work. Although that could be changing soon as we are loosing business due to Fake Bakes poor customer service!

Hi Gill
All tan solutions need to be shaken before pouring into your cup hun to distribute the DHA,
(what can happen if you don't give them a good shake is,
when you spray the client they will look good because of the guide colour that can be seen but when they wash the guide colour off they will have no tan because the DHA was sat in the bottom of the solution bottle)

if the solution is thicker then you need to set your gun so more would be coming out,
it should only need a quarter of a turn at the most, hth

You don't think your clear and unabashed hatred for the product you have to use at work could have just the tiniest, weeniest effect on the downturn in spray tans during what's otherwise a booming time in a booming industry? Just a thought, that's all.

NO! It's more likely to do with the fact we have been waiting on solution now for 2 months  So all of our customers have gone elsewhere. And i'm certainly not going to stand there and tell the clients that I hate it now am I :irked:

But I've placed at least a couple of orders with Fake Bake for solutions in the last couple of months and my order's been delivered in a couple of days?????

I've struck up a relationship with a local salon and we've borrowed products from each other in emergencies once or twice. Just can't imagine a Spa/Salon enduring that long without their advertised products.

Ah well, let's face it Kylie if it wasn't "haven't been able to get hold of Fake Bake solutions for 2 months" you'd have a whole other heap of complaints you could list, eh ha ha ha ha ha.

You Like Fake Bake, I don't! End of. No need for the silly comments and intterogation to something I wasn't even talking to you about in the first place :)
