I have just received my first set of fimo canes and cant wait to use them.
Please can you let me know how thick - or should I say thein I should be cutting them and also am I right in thinking that I have heard that I will need to warm them slightly before cutting to eliminate cracking?
If so, how do all you geeks go about warming them and to how hot?
Sorry lots of questions:).
Thanks

I cut them as they are, no heat. Here is a pic of how thin I slice them

havent read all this but you need to slice as thin as yu can - when yu thin slice you get more bendy with it,if it too thick you cant bend it

One good tip (that works for me anyway!)..is rather than looking at the cane from above it when you slice (which is usually what you would instinctually do), try looking at the front of it as you slice...so you can actually just see the blade slicing through...(throught the slice, iykwim !) i dont know why but after trying both ways I found i got thinner more even slices when looking at the end and watching the blade, rather than looking over the top and focusing on the slice.

Also, they might slice a little easier if they are warm...but warming them in your hands is enough.
