I am in the process of reapplying for skin piercing licence and health and safety officer wants to see my first aid certificate.

We done a module in first aid at college as part of our HND Beauty Therapy course, but when I looked out the certificates, the only module I can see relevant is one called Personal and Social Development: Accident and Emergency Procedures. When I trained at college, we called this first aid, I had no idea it was given a different name.

Do you think this counts as a First Aid certificate in terms of the skin piercing licence?

Please help me... their are much more courses I rather do than first aid!

I don't think that is enough as for our licence the council made us go on a seperate course (it was called first aid for the appointed person) to get the license. It then has to be renewed every 3 years. It might depend on your local council though so i would check with them.

Thanks Lilac, I thought this was the case. xx

Your local St John's brigade should offer first aid courses. Try contacting them.
