It's very nice...simple and easy to use.

Easy to navigate :)

do you think its too simple?

Its very good,
I wouldnt say too simple, its gets across all the information you need to say.

Who did you get it done with?
Did it work out expensive?

I am seriously thinking about doing one, but cant afford to pay loads, yet what it to look really professional. (Dont want much do I? ha ha)

Emma - There are loads of websites with free templates that are simple to use and can get you started! You could try Create a Free Website , Free Flash Website Builder at Wix.com or Webs - Make a free website, get free hosting but there are loads of others that I am sure fellow geeks will be able to recommend!

Having a web presence can really increase you client base!!! Worthwhile doing!

Pink n fuffy - the site communicatees the info that you want it to - if you wanted to add more to it you could always add images - people (in my experience people tend to be very visual!) . Good luck with it :)

It does exactly what it says on the tin!

Clean, simple, crisp spot on. One suggestion, mention your products you use and perhaps the odd image to give the site a liitle more punch.

Also toget clients looking, place you main offer on the front page. People need something to draw them in and keep them coming back.

I have gone with vista, its going to be about £6 a month, I also paid a one off of £16.99 so i could edit more stuff on it. Very easy to use which is good because I'm not very good with stuff like that.

Works out at £72 per year then, every year.

If it were me, I'd be inclined to add a small margin in black at the top of the page, so that the white (with the curvy corner) doesn't go right up to the top like it does at the moment - however that is my aesthetic preference, so don't take it as gospel!

For the home page, I'd also be tempted to jazz it up a bit by adding a few salon pics (maybe in a nice slideshow if Vista can do those - there's a nice JQuery plugin that I use) - also mentioning product names is also good for search engine optimisation - and having some product logos at the bottom of the home page would also look nice too.

Where you mention the "special offers" page on the home page, it would be good if you could put a link in to the "special offers" page when someone hovers over "special offers" in the text too - as well as having the link in the left hand navigation. The easier you can make your site for people to navigate, the more likely they are to stay on there and get to the information that you want them to see.

For the left-hand navigation menu, I think it would look nicer if the the text changed to a more contrasting colour when you hover over it; it does look as though it changes colour slightly when you hover over it - but I'm hardly noticing the change to my eyes.

For the services page, having some small images going down the right hand side of the page next to the prices would make the page more interesting (maybe some more product logos, e.g. if you use a particular brand of hair colour, or some more photos of the salon).

Also, maybe put your salon address and your phone number on the home page too, rather than having to go to the contact page to find them. Having the phone number in particular somewhere prominent on the home page is a good idea, as you want to make it as easy as possible for people to find your details and contact you.

Thanks, am going to do so changes over the weekend

Nice design. Add more pages, to up the amount of keywords you cover. This will give you more traffic from search engines. On your treatment list, make each treatment clickable that goes to a new page with information on the treatment. Make sure these new pages have specific keyword orientated titles.

Check out my services/treatments page. I do very well on google.

A nice little site and easy to navigate. You could maybe put a little about the qualifications and any recent training courses you have attended or are attending soon, also insurance reassurance and info on any memberships you have. I find this info gives a little more reassurance to clients and may help clients choose you over other hairdressers in your area.

I wouldn't say too simple....sometimes a nice easy website is all you need....

but I did feel the one thing missing was your qualifications etc...like Purple Butterfly mentioned.

Thank you very much for this information.

I do really think that websites are a must with any business these days- I might add it to my "things to do this year list"

Love Emma x:hug:x
