French Manicure - Help!!!

Hi, my cousin has asked me to do her nails for her wedding, as im on holiday before her wedding im unable to get to her house to do a practice run before hand, therefore as i am still at college nearly finished nvq level 2 i have 1 manicure left to carry out in my assessment with paraffiin wax and french manicure, i have asked her to come in tonight to get this done, however her nails are short, not too short but dont really have a lot of free edge to work with, will this still be ok to carry out a fench manicure on or will it look odd.

As long as you don't make the white to deep it should look O.K
Don't file to much off the length, just tidy them up.
