I am doing my first set of full colour acrylic nails tomorrow, and was wondering do I just apply the colour, or do I also apply a layer of clear acrylic on top of it before filing and applying my top coat? xx

Rather than use up all your coloured powders building a shape, which is unecessary, I would apply your colour so that it's opaque, but fairly thin, then build the apex/arch and shape the nail with your clear or sheer pink before file finishing.
